The 64th Festival de Cannes 2011: Top 10 Splendid Films Take Part in the Final Round

The Cannes Film Festival has received great concerns from all over the world. 20 movies are included in the main competition and most of them may be too familiar to you. On the second day of Cannes Film Festival, the real contest has opened its beginning and the world focuses on who will win the Golden Palm in Festival de Cannes 2011.

The prolific Japanese director Takashi Miike presents what has been billed as the first 3-D movie to make it into the main competition in Cannes. The tale of honour and revenge is a re-imagining of Masaki Kobayashi’s 1962 classic “Harakiri”.

 7. This Must Be the Place

This Must Be the Place is an upcoming drama film directed by Paolo Sorrentino, written by Sorrentino and Umberto Contarello. It stars Sean Penn and Frances McDormand. The film deals with a middle-aged wealthy rock star who becomes bored in his retirement and takes on the quest of finding his father’s tormentor, an ex-Nazi war criminal who is a refugee in the US.
