1. How can Auslogics Antivirus be installed?

Important: Since having more than one security solution on one computer may cause conflicts and lower the protection level, you need to uninstall other antivirus software prior to installing Auslogics Antivirus.

To install Auslogics Antivirus, first of all locate the setup file and double-click it. This will launch a wizard, which will guide you through the setup process. Before launching the setup wizard, Auslogics will check for newer versions of the installation package. If a newer version is available, you will be prompted to download it. Click Yes to download the newer version or No to continue installing the version available in the setup file.

Follow these steps to install Auslogics Antivirus:

  • Click Next to continue or click Cancel if you want to quit installation.
  • Antivirus alerts you if you have other security products installed on your computer and asks if you would like to remove them (one at a time). Click Yes to uninstall the corresponding product.
  • Please read the License Agreement and click I agree.
  • By default, Antivirus will be installed into C:\Program Files\Auslogics Software\Auslogics Software Antivirus. If you want to change the installation path, click Browse and select the folder where you would like Auslogics Antivirus to be installed. Click Next when you are ready to continue.
  • Select options regarding the installation process.
  • Click Install in order to begin the installation of the product.
  • Click Finish. You will be asked to restart your system so that the setup wizard can complete the installation. We recommend doing so as soon as possible.

2. What to do when Auslogics Antivirus cannot detect a virus or spyware?

'False negatives', meaning that the program fails to detect a file that is malicious, occur very rarely. This usually happens when the malware uses an unknown technique to hide itself from the antivirus software. This doesn't happen often and when it does, Antivirus is promptly updated to detect and remove this new type of malware.
