2012 International Children’s Day Kicks off: Something You Can Do to Please Kids

Universal Children’s Day was started in 1954 when the UN General Assembly recommended that all countries establish a Children’s Day as a way to promote the welfare of children around the world. It is unclear why June 1 was designated as International Children’s Day, but today is the exact day for kids only. After bidding farewell to Mother’s Day 2012, it is time for mothers to think of some International Children’s Day gift ideas to please their angels. Have you got any ideas? Celebrate this Children’s Day with some gifts, activities and more you can think of, no matter how the final purpose is to guarantee your angels a happy Children’s Day 2012. I have some good ideas to make this day meaningful, and of course your children gain fun from it.

Crafts/Cards Making & Sending
Children’s Day crafts/cards may be the most common gift you will send to your child, but this time you can make it a little bit different. You can gather your friends, relatives and their kids, and then making crafts together and sending to each other. What the difference of this activity is that not only kids build up capability of labor and intelligence, but also they enhance the awareness of mutual respect and reciprocal affection. To backup this memory, you can shoot video and upload video to YouTube to share your experience with other mums. In daily life later, you can also convert video to iPad and any other video players to recall the happy scenes.

Educational Movie Watching
I suppose that you seldom spend time on movie appreciating with your kids. But you must know that seeing film with your children is one of the effective ways to dig out what is on their little brain. So on this special day, you can spend one or two or three hours on movie watching with your kids. Of course, the most important thing you should bear in mind is that the movie must be your kids’ favorite. There may be lots of Children’s Day movies in theaters, so asking your kids what they are fond of and share the film with them. After watching, you can ask them about the simple opinion on this movie and share your mind with them.

Family Gathering
Maybe it is a long time you and your family not see each other. So this is a good opportunity for you to hold a family gathering. When all kids gathering together, they communicate with each other, play games with each other, etc. You know that there is great fun when kids are playing together, and new ideas and thoughts will be sparked sometimes. You can also keep these happy moments and review in the following days.

OK, I only want to sincerely wish you and your angels a happy International Children’s Day 2012.

iPad which has reached 15.4-million-unit sales result in the fourth quarter last year receives great concerns. Today in San Francisco Apple new CEO releases the new iPad with significant performance improved while the price will be identical with the previous iPad 2. This new iPad is not given a product name, neither iPad 3 or iPad HD, even until the end of the iPad launch event Cook calls it as “the new iPad”.

What different from the speculation is that the new iPad does not give up the Home button and is without 3D display support. Siri is not transplanted to the new iPad fully. What consistent with the rumor is that the new iPad adopts quad-core A5X processor and employs 2048 x1536 HR Retina display. The new iPad is a little bit heavier than iPad 2.

Performance greatly enhanced & standby time remained

Apple global marketing vice president Phil Schiller explains this latest A5X processing chip: the graphics chip is covered in it, and it is a multi-core product with performance four times as Nvidia Tegra 3.

In display effect, high resolution brings 3.1-million-pixel display effect which exceeds the level of high-resolution television. The poor camera performance problem in iPad 2 has been greatly improved.

As to software, there are still many upgrades occurred in the new iPad which including six language input support, 4G LTE support and more. Apple will launch iPad versions with AT&T and Verison 4G network support respectively in the United States.

The weight of the new iPad will be increased due to the improvement on its performance. But Phil states that the new iPad standby time will not be reduced so it can achieve at least 9-hour standby time under 4G network.

With the same price as iPad 2 and iPad 2 is with $100 price off

The price of the new iPad is the same with iPad 2 as expected, starting at $499. In addition, $100 will be cut off iPad 2. Top 10 Valentine’s Day Movies for the Lovebirds

How to spend a romantic Valentines Day? Seeing movies must be a not bad choice. Preoccupied with the beautiful scenes, you can even feel the heartbeat of your lover. Heading to the theatre may be one way to enjoy the movie, but what if you do not like the crowds? You can enjoy the Valentines Day movies with your lover at home sweetly. Personal computer, tablet PC, mobile phone, PSP player, MP4 player and more can be taken as a movie player for you to play the Valentines movies. In case that the movie video you are going to appreciate on Valentines Day is not compatible with the video player, you have to prepare a video converter which can do any video and audio conversions for you. So that you can never fail to convert video to iPad, convert video to iPhone, convert video to iPod, convert video to PSP, convert video to Android phone, etc for ultimate enjoyment.

In the following, there are some well-chosen classical Valentines Day movies for you. Now pick up one or more and to watch them with your beloved ones on the upcoming special 2012 Valentines Day.

Prelude to a Kiss–This quirky comedy stars Alec Baldwin and Meg Ryan as a couple who meet, fall in love, get married, and then. . . . Well, there’s this old guy who comes to their wedding, and he and Ryan accidentally switch bodies so that she has his life and he has hers. This sweet movie asks how well you know the person you love. And is the person you married a different person from the one you fell in love with?
Casablanca–Where would a top ten list be without this stylish classic? Humphrey Bogart plays Rick Blaine, an expatriate American and former freedom fighter who runs a nightclub in Casablanca during World War II. Ingrid Bergman is his former love, Ilsa, who’s in town with her husband, a resistance leader. Bogart and Bergman are suave, the setting is cosmopolitan, and the politics are intriguing.
Titanic–James “King of the World” Cameron’s magnum opus charmed billions (literally) of moviegoers around the world. Even China’s Communist party recommended that their country see it for its commentary on the hubris of capitalism! It has something for everyone – most especially a love story that transcends class, circumstance, and even life – not to mention one really big boat. Be forewarned: At a running time of over three hours, this movie is a commitment in itself.
Love Actually–It’s a movie about a ton of love stories. Some of them might be kind of messy, complicated, twisty and confusing, but that’s love. Actually. So for Valentine’s Day, it’s totally appropriate.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind–It’s a love story with depth, and considered one of the best films of the last decade by many. In this sci-fi flick, a man is heartbroken when he finds out his girlfriend has undergone a procedure to erase their time together. To ease his pain, he decides to do the same, but when his memories are playing backward as they’re getting wiped away, he finds he’s still desperately in love, which is a pretty rough time for that realization.
The Notebook–Every girl on the planet wishes she had a passionate relationship like Noah and Allie’s. Oh, and for some weird reason that we totally love, this movie seems to be many men’s guilty pleasure. Go figure.
Pride & Prejudice— It’s the ultimate chick flick. And even if guys can’t exactly appreciate it like girls can, they need to understand the fascination with a rich, handsome, misunderstood hottie like Mr. Darcy, and the fact that he’s willing to toss family expectations out the window to be with Elizabeth. That’s totally swoon-worthy, and women love it. So men just have to suck it up.
P.S. I Love You— Get out your hanky and get ready to appreciate your partner while watching this major tearjerker! It’s emotional, but come on—we’ve got to give Gerard Butler’s Jerry some props for the epic finally gift he gave Hil’s Holly; letters to help her move on after his death. That has to be, like, the most thoughtful final present/journey/set of memories EVER.
The Princess Bride–It’s vintage Robin Wright in this flick. The Princess Bride boasts her first major movie role ever playing the Princess Buttercup to Cary Elwes’ farm boy Westley. Not only is this laugh-out-loud funny (could any film with things like Rodents of Unusual Size, Andre the Giant and a six-fingered man not be seriously quirky?), but is also pretty heavy on the light-hearted romance. Guys will even chuckle at this one. It’s just downright fun.
You’ve Got Mail–Well, what’s a chick-flick holiday without a Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks movie? It just wouldn’t be complete, that’s for sure. We love a little romantic angst, and this movie has plenty. A book tycoon unknowingly falls for a woman online whose enchanting little shop just went out of business—because of him. Watch Meg and Tom try to resist each other’s charms as real-life archenemies and online soul mates.

Apple’s Final Cut Pro is remarked as the best video editing software designed for Mac users. With the help of Final Cut’s Export Using QuickTime Conversion feature, you can export videos from the editing time line to hard drive in iPad. What should be mentioned is that you should use the proper iPad format. Generally speaking, iPad supports various types of QuickTime video, such as H.264, MPEG-4 and M4V formats.

Step-by-step guide:

1. Activate Final Cut, and double-click the sequence containing the edited time line you want exported. Mark your sequence’s in and out points by setting Final Cut’s playhead cursors at the desired start point and pressing “I” on your keyboard. Set your cursor at the desired end point and press “O” on your keyboard to set your out point.

2. Click the “File” tab at the top of the screen, select “Export” and choose the “Using QuickTime Conversion” option to enter the Export window.

3. Name your file and set an output destination to save your exported movie on your hard drive.

4. Click the “Options” button on the right side of the screen to enter the Movie Settings window. Press the “Video” button so a check mark appears, and click the “Settings” button to enter the Video Compression Settings screen.

5. Click the “Compression Type” drop-down box and select “H.264” (see Tips). Set your frame rate to “30 fps” using the “Frame Rate” drop-down box. Select the “Automatic” option in the Data Rate portion of the screen, located in the upper right corner. Click “OK” to return to the Movie Settings window.

6. Click the “Size” button in the Video portion of the Movie Settings window to change the size of your video if needed. Choose a preset dimension or click “Custom” to manually enter the desired height and width for your export. For general conversions, click the “Dimensions” drop-down box and select “Compressor Native” (this chooses the native dimensions for the video-compression type previously chosen). Click “OK” to exit to the Movie Settings window.

7. Enable the “Sound” box so a check mark appears. Click the Sound “Settings” button. Click the “Format” drop-down box and select “AAC” from the list of options, which is the default audio format for iPads. Select “48.000 kHz” from the “Rate” section for high-quality audio. Click “OK” to exit back to the Movie Settings window.

8. Deselect the “Prepare for Internet Streaming” box, and click “OK” to return to the Export screen. Click “Save” to begin exporting your video from Final Cut.
